  5. Have meaningful questions prepared to ask recruiters.
  6. Prepare a 60-second introduction to market yourself. Include: your major, year in school, full-time job or internship, career interests, work experience, campus activities and strengths.
Day of the Event
  1. Dress professionally - First impressions are critical since you will only be speaking to employer representatives for a few minutes. Possibilities include a suit, tie, shirt and slacks; jacket with skirt or dress.
  2. Decide which employers you want to speak with and then prioritize them.
  3. Come early in the day-employers are at their peak and there's less competition. The event is from 9:00am to 1:00pm but don't wait until 12:45pm to arrive since some employers may already be packing away their displays and materials.
  4. Approach employer representatives with confidence and enthusiasm.
    • Introduce yourself and shake hands.
    • Offer your resume.
    • Tell the representative about yourself.
    • Ask questions about position openings, application procedures and interview opportunities.
    • Collect business cards and employer literature.
    • Maintain a positive attitude
  5. Be considerate and do not monopolize the employers time.
After the Day of Event
